"Why did you do this to yourself," she looked away looking tired, worn, and broken. She closed her eyes. "It doesn't matter. It's done; the reasons don't matter; it's over. You wouldn't understand." Her voice had lowered and she opened her gray weary eyes. "You're right." I told her. "I probably wouldn't understand. But I care, and I would listen." She looked at me, shocked and slightly suspicious before answering. "We'll see." She said coldy. I nodded my head, not surprised. She'd tell me when she wanted too. Maybe not even then. She was quiet for a moment. "How are you not disgusted or.. disappointed, I guess, by me?" I raised my head. "How could I be?" I said in low voice. Before she could say anything or offer any objections, I let the jacket I was wearing, slip carelessly off my arms and fall to the floor. I turned my hands palms up and looked at her.
