Two actors... one tango... on a moonlit night... A middle-aged actor at a crossroads in his career dances with women at a bar they call the romance lounge. In his search for meaning, will he find true love with the young actress he invites to join him in a tango? A short fan fiction story inspired by the 1991 stage play "Tango at the End of Winter" by Kunio Shimizu, starring Alan Rickman. The story is dedicated to Alan Rickman, in honor of the 7th anniversary of his passing on January 14, 2023, and what would have been his 77th birthday on February 21, 2023.

It was a dark night. Way back in the late 70's, she had been in an abusive relationship and was trying to find a way out. Very previous. This girl had ended it but the abuser was still lurking. With Alan around she was sure that she was protected. She talks about her life with the magnificent actor. From beginning to end. She leaves nothing out. Eventually the abuser never appears again and she and Alan are now free of fear. Her and Alan's life flourish and expands into something greater.

Thorn Evergreen's parents have died, and now she has to move out of her childhood home. Her friends help her find a place of her own, but the graveyard, ironically, becomes her back yard. The rental home she moves into is right next to a graveyard and funeral home. The mortician (Alan Rickman) is her new landlord. After a few days at her new home she finds some of her landlord's possessions odd, but nothing could prepare her for how twisted the town actually is.
