As soon as she arrived, she achieved rank 1 in the 1st string by beating--yes you all know who--Byoudouin Hoo. Even after becoming rank 1, she trains daily and became known as the Ice Queen of Tennis. As her title states, her tennis play is like playing in a frozen court and those who challenge her fail miserably. 2 weeks after Ryoma's arrival to Japan, she returns home on a break to catch up with her brother.

She hasn't seen him for six years. He hasn't seen her for six years in actual person. Every year he sat in front of the T.V watching her play. And after six years of not seeing each other they finally meet again. And with her living with his family. His first actual love, which he still had feeling for six years. She comes back into his life, going to school, being in the same class, being the regulars in the club, but the clueless girl doesn't notice anything, and because of her loving character she becomes popular with his friends. After being in rehab for 3 years, Echizen Rika is finally back. She then enrolled in Seigaku where her little brother is. She met the tennis boys club and as well as some troublesome other guys!! After being selected as their manager, she became the hellish trainer that Ryoma knows. She have met many friends, rivals, foes... And even a lover!! Yet, She still have her fears...
