Dan Howell woke one morning to find out he was blind, through the challenges of trying to relearn everything he has his best friend Pj. Pj has been Dan's friend since before he became blind. He helps with his struggles everyday without judging. He loves Dan, then comes a new boy. Phil. He comes across as rude at first but Dan soon finds himself falling in love with a boy he can't even see. When a tragic accident happens it shakes Dan's worlds up even more than he could ever imagine.

Dan is a dancer, but it's his best kept secret. Moving to a new college results in new friends, new hobbies and a new outlook in life; but what does it really mean to be human? Dan is known for being a fuckboy at his school. Accepting dates from whoever offered. Most of the time girls but very rarely he would get the closeted guy who asks him so he can figure himself out. Dan gets made fun of when that occurs but sometimes he prefers the guys more. He gets asked out on a daily basis. Only going out for them for a couple of days which usually results in a ton of making out and most of the time a one night stand. Dan has never truly been in a relationship. His longest was probably around 6 days but other then that he's never been in a long term relationship because he feels that being with one person for the rest of your life is pointless and over rated considering he gets bored with whoever he's with. He never expected that those feelings would change his life choices when he runs into a animal loving, anime nerd who smiles at everything and makes him feel something he's never felt towards someone before... When Phil met Dan he was a nobody, and after that he was still a nobody - but he was a nobody with somebody. And it all happened because of a weird collection.
