Hi. You don't know me. I'm Skyler Rose Meredith and I don't talk. •••••••• After years of being out down, bullied and moving from town to town, Skyler stops talking. She doesn't say anything, not a single word, until one day when she moves to one town and finds the one thing she has missed out on her whole life - a friend. Lucy Bevan is blind with a great personality despite her so-called 'disability.' Through all difficulties, Lucy and her brother, Hunter, help Skyler with one of the biggest problems of her past - her identity. Is their persistence enough to pull Skyler out of the hole she let others dig for her? Will their friendship allow Skyler to start talking again? Dear Dad, I hope every night that life was all a dream, that I could just wake up and find my you there snuggling me in and keeping me warm. But for now, you're just one among the stars. The one I'm trying to catch. Love Kathryn (Your Daughter) Xx **************************************************************************************************** Kathryn is a 14 year old 'Brave Girl' who struggles after loosing her Dad in an accident. After a lot of consideration, Kathryn decides to write a diary to her Dad telling him what she did that day - as if she was talking to him in person. As she sits and writes 'I miss you' she believes that he can see it. But after a while, she faces a wave of pain that begins to drown her. Will she overcome it or will she become one among the stars?

Do faeries truly exist? The World Faery Society (WFS) is determined to answer that question by investigating its biggest mystery yet: The Westbury Faery. Is she real? And if so, who is she and what is her story? But the WFS can't do it alone; the Society needs your help in writing her story. Explore the evidence, read theories and stories put forth by others, and write your own tale about The Westbury Faery's origins. The WFS will shortlist 100 of the most imaginative stories and theories about The Westbury Faery, and 20 winners will be published by Tiny Owl Workshop in a beautifully illustrated book in 2017. You can write flash fiction stories between 100 to 500 words or short stories between 1,500 to 3,000 words. Be sure your stories examine the question: Who is The Westbury Faery and what is her story?
