Having escaped the Court of Owls, Talon, runs to Bludhaven. To keep his past hidden and atone for his sins, he becomes Nightwing. Of course this doesn't go unnoticed by the Justice League, as they try to discover who this new hero is. Sadly, the shadows always carry secrets, and sometimes they're better off left alone. Can Nightwing keep his past a secret from the Justice League?

Nightwing is well aware of The Court of Owls. He knows he was supposed to be the next Talon but he chose to run away many years ago and became Robin instead. But The Court never forgot about him. What will happen when they want him back?

Rather than waiting for a miracle to happen, he decides that he'll escape that hell hole himself. Surely enough, he manages to do just that. Great. Now what? While wandering Gotham's streets like the lost child that he was, he stumbles into a club. And not just any club. No, it was the Iceberg Lounge. So how did this result in Dick befriending some of Gotham's most famous villains? After all, criminals don't have soft sides. Right..? How about Bruce? Will he show up and help Dick choose the right path? Or will the boy be influenced by his new villain friends, who insist he make choices similar to theirs? Will he choose revenge or justice? As expected, Nightwing is taking full blame for that 'horrible' plan, Artemis and Kaldur have tried to share that blame but he refuses. He believes he is to be blamed for everything. And maybe he is. But he's determined to fix what he's done. EDIT: This story has been discontinued and will eventually be rewritten with the same name and cover.

Nightwing has been overly stressed after the Invasion. Wally was saved due to the Scarab's warning and everything went back to, relatively, normal. But... Nightwing is scorned by nearly everyone due to the mental strain and severe danger he brought upon everyone. Was he forgiven? By some but not really those that matter to his own mental state. Barbra and Tim still feel betrayed by them... and Wally is still angry with him for putting Artemis's life on the line like that. But with all this stress and guilt... well... not even Nightwing is invincible.

When Superboy goes back to Cadmus to find out more about his creation (Along with a few other YJ members) they find out that Cadmus did not end with Level 52. There was a Level 53. (I will not spoil what happens so that is the best description I can offer you. Please enjoy my 2nd fan fiction!)
