In a modern setting where the characters of How to Train Your Dragon are all seniors in high school, we hear of a Henry Haddock otherwise known as Hiccup by his friends. This is his story. When Henry was just a boy he was always picked on. However he found inner peace by writing songs and creating music. It was soon apparent that his talent was noticed but he didn't want to be known as the outcast that he was and therefore terrorized for it so he created a secret Identity. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, the son of the chief of Berk Stoick the vast. He was considered the runt, weakling.... failure of the village. But when the village finds out that Hiccup had befriended a dragon... a beast... they took matters into their own hands and gave him a punishment, one that they all would regret when it was uplifted but one that changed him for the best.

Hiccup ran far away from his so called home. Berk, it still makes him angry yet sad at the same time. He left Berk behind when he was 15 and he had won Dragon training. His reasoning? well he had trained one of them. A dragon. Not just any dragon, a Night fury. The unholy offspring of lightning and death itself. He had fled from Berk unnoticed until the next morning but he did not know if he was ever going back.
