The Institute for Cetacean Advancement quietly controls Earth, harnessing the intelligence of captive whales and dolphins to solve human problems. Dr. James Morris is their leading bioengineer. His best friend is Coda-9994, the genius and potty-mouthed hybrid sperm whale destined to be sent off to the ocean planet Ouroboros. With humans having rendered Earth's ocean uninhabitable, the ICA insists it's the only way to find a new homeworld to serve mankind's needs. But Coda doesn't want to go. He grows angrier at Jim with each passing day for doing nothing. Desperate to redeem himself in Coda's eyes, Jim finds himself tangled in a conspiracy to bring the ICA to its knees. But how willing is he to get his hands dirty? How far will they go to break humanity's cycle of self-destruction? Based on the short story that took first place in National Geographic's "Planet or Plastic" contest. *Contains some foul language.* ______ Dream Awards - 1st place Sci-fi Majestic Awards - 1st place Sci-fi

"The Withered Land, The Empire Falls: Abyssium" is another early tale in the epic saga of D'Spayr's haunted youth, set three years Earth-time after the events of "Hell's Avatar" and nine years BEFORE he meets his comrades, Nygeia and Lumynn. He falls into the role of sellsword as he infiltrates the cabal of thuggish, bloodthirsty criminals among the forces of the government's army while assigned to the soon-to-be decommissioned moonbase of "Pex'Insava" orbiting some 380,000 miles above the surface of Teshiwahur. There, along with his scheming and duplicitous brother, he meets the artificially-evolved super-soldiers called "The Fae-spawn" and he accepts duties in one of their brigade-units as a mercenary consultant. The brigade runs afoul of a clandestine scheme to conquer Pex'Insava by insurrectionist terrorists using the Emperium's own fascist, anti-human mutant force, a ferocious Special Operations Counter-Insurgency military unit known as "The Nahztreme". Once the conspiracy is revealed, D'Spayr finds himself hunted and friendless except for the camaraderie of one of the most advanced members of The Fae-spawn, a vengeful, godlike super-being known as "Anthus Rohggym", and an enigmatic, moonborn woman-warrior named Reihn Valkonurr." ****************************************************************************************** Phenominal cover art by Stefanie Saw: @seventhstar

Selected for Editor's Choice! Some secrets refuse to remain silent. Deep in Switzerland, the Intyamon valley was once home to many humans and strange beings. Years ago, in a wooden chalet rooted on the side of the valley, there lived a young girl who was desperately lonely. In the middle of Lessoc, a small village, there was a fountain. Humans had a charming legend they told about it, but fairy creatures whispered of dark deeds and bloodshed. On a farm nearby, there was a boy growing callous and cold from the harsh life he was given. A path in the valley forest led to a hill covering a vast hall under its rocky layers. A fairy king held his court in that hall and the great fairies danced and feasted throughout the nights. There was a horse with a battle-scarred coat and soul, who longed for redemption. And there was one last creature whose heart has withered away long ago. Lessoc Fountain would call them them together.

"MUNE'STAHR and PYLOTT: HELLMARROW" is an epic tale of interstellar/cross-dimensional adventure featuring RIKTONN MUNE'STAHR and KESHURA PYLOTT, former Territorial Expanse SpecOps Troop officers in the Hegemonic Emperium's Extraplanetary High Frontier Extrasolar Naval Fleet. Following the catastrophic events of the Great Cosmic Revocation, that being the return to the Teshiwahurian Homeworld of all Naval Space forces from assignments in the World-Father's far-flung galactic empire, Mune'stahr and Pylott, separated from their naval units, are wrenched from the dimensions of normal Einsteinian SpaceTime to the bizarre cosmic corridor between dimensions known as "The Ventriculum". During a dangerous time of violent internal strife within the World-Father's crumbling interplanetary empire, the two space-armored SpecOps Troop veterans become biologically-bonded with a gigantic, sentient, alien ship called "The Glide", a spherical vessel that follows the programming of its own governing artificial intelligence, known as "Neesharim", on a mysterious mission to police the interdimensional gateways against sorcerers, alien dictators and their armies, space demons and other non-human threats scheming to enslave the Multiverse. Marooned in a colossal, intelligent shiftship that traverses a seemingly endless, omnidirectional fractal metaflow between universes, Mune'stahr and Pylott fight for ultimate Justice and for the control their own fates..." ********************************************************************************* Cover Art by the legendary John Conrad Berkey, copyright © John Berkey / www. johnberkey. com

Recommended by Wattpad talent hunters, SINGULARITY! (Shameless advertising I know...) http://blog.wattpad.com/post/19395726078/friday-find-singularity Its a time when man has the potential to become immortal, where nanotechnology allows for people to manipulate the world and their surroundings at their whim, when a virtual reality, can become ones true reality, and when anyone can travel the universe as gods... But the line between humanity, and something potentially much greater has become blurred, and a man unwilling to take that final step, to evolve, finds himself left behind in a world technologically far beyond the point where he can live out a normal, human life. For better or for worse, this is the end of humanity as we have known it, the result of a single event... The Singularity.

“My sister passed away over a month ago. The last time I saw her was yesterday.” When eighteen-year-old Reese Washington dies of an undetected heart defect, she leaves a bucket list behind: ten things, all incomplete, detailing the stuff she never got to do. Struggling with her grief, Reese’s twin sister, Callie, sees no other option but to set out to complete what she had planned; she’s determined to finish the list, however slowly, on behalf of the person who made it. The ultimate tribute to her sister. Reaching the end is something Callie’s always been counting on. Finding help in the form of Mitchell Hunt, the candid editor of the school newspaper who's way too keen on sharing, certainly isn’t. Then again, neither is the unexplained psychic connection between her and Reese. Think twin telepathy, and then think again.
