In 1992, Pettigrew was captured and Sirius was declared innocent. The first thing he did after his acquittal was offer Harry a home. James and Lily Potter. When you hear those names, you think of the tragic death of two great wizards that happened on October 31st, 1981. You think of the Boy Who Lived. You think of a great wizard with a not so great start. But, what if James and Lily didn't die? What if they moved to America because they thought Harry died? What if they had a family? Find out what happens when James and Lily go back to Diagon Ally for the first time in 13 years, and they meet a green-eyed boy and his best friends. And what will they think when all of their friends are reunited once again. How will James react in the face of his betrayer?

Let's give this another try. I am unimpressed with my other stories like this, so I will start over.

Harry Potter was the Boy Who Lived. When he was sent to live with his mother's sister, he wasn't living any kind of life. Constant chores, unearned punishments from his whale of an Uncle, and a musty living space under the stairs that kept him hidden from the outside world. Sirius Black was freed from Azkaban prison and cleared of all charges after an interesting hearing in the ministry. Ever since, he had been fighting for parental rights for his Godson, Harry Potter. When Arabella Figg overhears one of Harry's harsh punishments, the adoption process is sped up and Harry is given to Sirius and his best friend and roommate, Remus Lupin. Read on as a little boy discovers that he is loved and as two prankster wizards turned fathers learn to deal with one of the most stressful jobs in the world--parenthood. {Possible SB/RL later on.
