Dean Winchester is a famous YouTube star. Castiel is a history teacher at the local high school. Many of Cas' students fawn over Dean, or as they know him, Dean Zepplin. Sam, Dean, and Castiel are trying to finish an extremely difficult hunt. During this time Dean and Cas are trying to keep their new found and ever strengthening relationship a secret from Sam, but its proving to be rather difficult since the two of them have very little time alone. When Castiel’s plans for the summer get cancelled and he’s left with nowhere else to go, Dean invites him to go home with him. It seems an easy solution to cure Castiel’s summer blues, but when they arrive at the Winchester household, Dean realizes due to a slight miscommunication with his mom he and Castiel will have to spend the summer sharing a bed and holding hands because the entire Winchester family thinks they’re dating. And really it shouldn't be that big of a deal because Dean Winchester isn't actually in love with his best friend; except for that he is.

I love the idea of Destiel, that a human and an angel can move beyond the physical boundaries of the human body, and find something deeper in each other, during a time when they are both ships tossing in a chaotic sea of emotions, and at a time when their lives are absolutely falling apart. They cling to one another, each becoming the other's safe harbor. It's transcends sex, moves beyond the fact that they are both in male form. It is love in its purest form, and it is on a deep and spiritual level. The idea that someone as broken as Dean Winchester can find someone that can see past the darkest parts of himself to the light within and still love him I think is the most beautiful thing on earth.
