**Second book of Fighting Blind** "Choose, Kei. Ryker or your kingdom?" I stared at the man before me stoically, calling him every vile name under the sun. "You want me to choose?" I spoke slowly, deliberately as I watched Leon smile leisurely. "Of course. Save your kingdom, or save your mate. There's only one right choice, one road to Fate." I grimaced at that word. "You're being awfully cliché, Leon. I thought you would be more creative than this." I bared my teeth in a smile, a frightening sight indeed. "Kei, stop kidding around and save your people, for goddess sake." Ryker roared from where he was imprisoned, and I only raised an eyebrow at his outburst. "Mate, you are my other half, part of my soul. How am I to rule if you're not by my side?" I asked him evenly, as if he already should have known my decision. His eyes widened when he started to catch on and he shook his head. "Kei, don't you dare." Giving him my signature smirk, I opened my mouth to make my choice.

"I... I re- reject you." She said. I growled. "Rejection not accepted." I placed my hands on her hips and pulled her closer. Her breath hitched and I smirked. Breathing in my mates scent I gently placed my lips on her neck. She shiverd. I grazed my canines against the soft skin that seperated her neck from her shoulder, and then I sunk my teeth into her skin, marking her. My mate gasped and I smiled pulling her closer. "Mine." My mouth was inches away from his and he closed his eyes as I smirked with satisfaction. It was working. Surprising everyone, I lifted my leg and kicked him were the sun don't shine. Gasps were heard throughout the hall and Chase instantly fell to the ground, holding his precious jewels. "What the fuck?!" He groaned. In a deadly sweet voice I got down to eye level. "Well now you know how it feels when you break a girls heart". I stood up and walked away. Everyone looked at me with awe stricken faces and I twirled my body around putting my hand on my hip. "By the way the names Avery Blue" I spoke loudly. Flashes of recognition crossed people's faces but Chase was the most shocked of them all. I stared at Chase straight in the eyes. "Karma's a bitch" before turning around and continuing my way to physics class. xx Avery Blue has had enough of being tormented by her classmates and leaves school to return with one agenda.
