Time traveling has unforeseen consequences. Go figure. Evelyn, a girl adopted into a wealthy family, is in way over her head. Her family's occupation and her own personal love for Egyptian history led her to Cairo, where she enrolled as a student to further her dreams of becoming a certified egyptologist. When her fathers excavation team discovers a pharaohs tomb, they unknowingly enact a curse that changes her life. Sent back 3,000 years to ancient Egypt with her sister Carol, they soon become embroiled in the affairs and politics of the royal family and neighboring countries. Taken as slaves to the palace, Evelyn and Carol serve the young Pharaoh Memphis, who's tomb their family excavated in the future. While adjusting to a completely different language, culture, and well let's be honest, social class, Evelyn manages to catch the eye of the King, who's infatuation with her runs so deep, he would stop at nothing to keep her close. Fighting off an arrogant, violent, and admittedly handsome Pharaoh, trying not to change the future, dealing with a psychotic priestess, keeping her sister from doing something she shouldn't and searching for a way to get back to the timeline they actually belong in, Evelyn has her work cut out for her. Determined to go home, she won't stop until it kills her. Which it just might.

"What the hell?" I took a step closer to the mirror, staring at my reflection in disbelief. The person looking back was still me, but at the same time it wasn't. I had the same thick, dark, curly hair. The same hazel eyes. The same olive skin with a light dusting of freckles (ugh) scattered across the bridge of my nose. But my curls were now streaked with highlights. And not the subtle, golden-brown ones that sometimes appeared during the summer. No, these were an aggressive, dazzling blond that went from the roots of my hair all the way to the tips. It looked like I had spent a full day getting my hair done in some upscale salon. Never mind that I had never set foot in such a place since the day I was born. My eyes appeared somehow wider and more luminous. The colour brighter, my eyelashes darker up against them. And, when I looked closely, my pupils seemed to be slitted almost like a cat. I looked down at my body. My skinny arms-which had always refused to gain any definition no matter how hard I exercised-were lined with flat, wiry muscles. My bony shoulders were now curved and smooth. My scrawny legs were toned like a dancer. I reached down and lifted my shirt, revealing two subtle lines running vertically down my perfectly flat stomach, hinting at the rock-hard abs underneath. My whole body was rippling with strength. Like liquid steel.

The fight to save Oceana has only just begun. Valory, Arden, and the mercenary crew of Windjammer return to the capital to learn that the alliance marching against them is far darker than they had feared. Racing against time to defend Anaphe, the capital's twin-city, from destruction, Valory and Arden head south even as duty drives a wedge between them. Contract-bound, Valory fulfills his late father's wishes and sails for Anaphe to prepare the city for siege. While spies and loyalists slither through his court, an army of twisted creatures advances upon Anaphe's walls, the likes of which haven't been seen for generations. Meanwhile, Arden travels westward in a bid to win an unprecedented alliance that could either save Anaphe from collapse -- or bring Windjammer to ruin. The road back to the city proves to be no easy one, however, for their enemy lies closer to home than they ever could have imagined.

A 21st century covert ops agent, Cybelline found herself transported to a medieval world of magic and war without a clue of how she got there. Fine, she'll consider this as early, early retirement and try to have a quiet, peaceful life. Maybe she would buy a farm and raise some ducks. She didn't plan to have royalty fall over her doorstep and demand marriage for "taking his innocence". Granted, she tripped him first, but he deserved it. If her idyllic life had been undisturbed, she could even ignore the war between humans, the Fae, and the Folk. If they had left her alone, perhaps she would have never discovered power so potent that it could destroy the world. Perhaps she would have never become the most feared person in the realm.

*FEATURED* Ao is a wrathful, ravenous former god trapped in a human body and sentenced to roam the Inner Empire for all eternity. Eternity is rather dull, until she meets a green-eyed prince and his friends. The prince offers her a deal; help him and she can get revenge on the ones who stripped her of her godhood. Sounds like a good offer right? But with the prince's offer comes danger, deceit, and enough almond pudding to drown a dragon. Oh well, at least eternity isn't dull anymore. *~*~*~*~*~* Recommended for ages 16+. Contains some mature themes that may not be appropriate for younger readers (violence, language, suicide, non-explicit intimacy). Beautiful cover drawn and designed by @RiaNorton!
