Based of of the YouTube Red movie "The Thinning" WARNING: THIS IS GOING TO BE NOTHING LIKE THE ACTUAL MOVIE!!! I had not watched the movie when I started writing this, it was based off of the trailer. This is an AU so it will have completely different characters and plot.

In a world of immense population, America developed a way to deplete 5% of its population annually through standardized testing Read the story of Blake's and Laina's life together after barely surviving a tragic escape from America's cruel and manipulative system. When Laina Michaels receives a message from her friend Blake Redding, her life is turned upside down. She believed that he had died with the rest of the victims of the latest Thinning. He informs her about an underground network taking the children that have been taken to the Thinning and holding them in a underground chamber underneath Vista Point High School, along with the victims from the elementary school. The underground network, or as the victims call it "The Chamber" was formerly ruled by Mason King and then taken over by the guards who worked with him. The government knows nothing about "The Chamber", and neither do the victim's families. They still believe that their children are dead. Laina has to rescue all of the victims, expose "The Chamber", Get back the guy that she fell for, and end The Thinning once and for all, all while not getting caught. One result leads to world peace, and less death, and the other result leads to certain death for Laina and Blake. Which ending will play out in their favor?

What if... Laina and Blake were both sent into the thinning. what would happened? What about Ellie? What about love?

The Thinning was over but the fight for Blake Reddings freedom was far from it. He awoke in a dark and crowded room full of people working and then he saw the one person he thought he had lost Ellie Harper. Laina Michaels had lost the only boy she had ever fallen for and wasn't about to let that go. She wanted revenge and she was determined to find it. She will do anything to bring down the people who tried to kill her and killed Blake.
