Kathryn was a girl who was abused by a father who likes to express his "feelings" towards her differently than other fathers who can control their emotions. Kathryn eventually meets the love of her life, Luke Hemmings, who tries to save her from her terrible life with her father. Cassandra has been dating Ashton Irwin for some time before the band ever met Kathryn. They've been through a lot and hope to stay together as long as possible. They are all only 17-19 years old. Abby and Austin have known and loved each other since 7th grade. Austin could never go out with anyone until he was old enough to understand everything in the world. Abby eventually develops a very big secret that she's not sure she can trust Austin enough to know he'll be there for her.
