They aren't bland and lifeless like everything else. They're colored. Bright blue, shining beneath his glasses. But... Color only appears when you've seen your soul mate. First, I've heard, its the eyes. Then other small details. Say, a flower or your coffee in the morning. Could he be my soul mate...? I've never seen him before. Or maybe it's just that I've never noticed him, never cared to look. Now he's looking at me, his cerulean eyes wide. Could he be seeing my eyes too...? We're both frozen in place, staring each other down across this comic book store like they do in old westerns. His eyes... are so beautiful...
