"We hunt, we kill, we die." In the Ristos System, bounty hunters come and go like the wind: with no shortage of bounties to fulfill, men and women appear onto the great stage of the galaxy only to fade into obscurity. While the main policing force of the Ristos System and neighboring galaxies, the United Terren Federation, has tried to maintain the peace, crime still runs rampant through the stars. As they say, desperate times call for desperate measures. As UTF officials start to look into alternative solutions to their problem, a shrouded figure makes a name for himself as a lucrative killer. Not much is known about this spectre other than his name: Mortifer, the Bringer of Death. The uncertainty and notoriety surrounding the Bringer of Death has caused many a bounty hunter to shiver in fear, for no target is too difficult for Mortifer to eliminate. Through conflicting storylines, the story behind the visage of the Ristos System's most notorious bounty hunter will come to light.

(This Book has Been Discontinued) Have you ever wished you could be someone else?' If you have I want to punch you in the face right at the moment... But I am getting ahead of myself here. This story is about a girl who moves to a different school... This starting to sound cliche isn't it?' But Hey! On the other hand this girl has been oblivious to magic all of her life until suddenly. *Wapang!* Reality hits her. Hard. But this girl has a good reason for not knowing about all that, in fact this girl has a good reason for a lot of things, and that girl, out of everyone in this world just so happens to be me. And when I do find out about magic that's when the story really begins, when this entire enchanted adventure begins.' The question I keep wondering is this: Is it the road to an adventure or the path to a complete nightmare. Which ever is which, that's something your going to have to find out on your own...

Quinn wants to escape her claustrophobic hometown after her father dies unexpectedly from a rare parasitic infection, and an internship filming feed in cities around the world for a software company developing a virtual running game seems like her ticket to run. When it turns out the company is owned by the father of a boy whose motives are murky, her departure leaves her best friend Toby feeling jealous and betrayed back home. As a research assistant for a local professor who believes parasitic infections may be being utilized as a biological weapon, Toby starts piecing together clues that suggest Quinn's father was murdered; a murder connected to the disappearance years before of his own father, a world-famous biomedical engineer on the cusp of a cure for infertility. Toby's investigation circles back to a shadowy pharmaceutical executive he discovers is stalking Quinn, and creates a game of cat and mouse where Toby faces either losing Quinn, or altering her very existence to save her; even as he grapples with the layers of meaning in the last question Quinn's dying father asked him: "Are you real?"
