After a visit to your favorite tree, you find a winged boy lying crippled on the ground. You take him home with you, and you start falling for him... You soon learn that he already has a girlfriend. Her name is Max, and she also has wings, just like you. But can that prevent a blossoming relationship, or does something darker loom in the distance?

Jesse Ride has now discovered who the real enemy is. Not Max. Not the Flock, but the School. Now she must work together with the Flock and Jacob where they must fight against the School for freedom. But, how can they when Ari stands in their way and, Jacob may not be all that he seems?
