After All Might is defeated in battle Midoriya disappeared after a week of his friends trying to cheer him up but only making everything worse. Midoriya had just mastered his power before All Might was defeated and got discouraged and left off on his own without telling anyone. One person in there class, Todoroki Shouto, managed to find him and bring him back but they had been secretly in contact throughout the entire month he was gone. His classmates are all unaware how to talk to him and Bakugou keeps mistreating him even though he won't say a thing about it. His grades are fine and he's grown much more powerful. since he helped Todoroki out so much when they fought Shouto decided it was time he returned the kindness Midoriya had shown him.
