They say after a tragedy, life gets better. For Edward Elric, it did. After being tortured for a couple days ruined him. But, Roy Mustang swept Ed off his feet and saved him. Then four months later, an old enemy appears. Roy changes, Ed cracks. But once again, Roy fixed him, the piece of broken metal Ed was. Now, it's been five years, since Roy had saved him. Ed's life finally got better. But it didn't last long.

Roy Mustang is a cop for the town of Amestris. He is given a case, and the ties it has to a certain someone catches his attention. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edward Elric, is a criminal. After defeating father, Roy Mustang and Edward Elric live together in house in central. Both have given up Alchemy to protect their adopted son who they named Maes. Alphonse Elric lives nearby, and spoils little Maes rotten. Amy, is Maes's godmother and helps Roy and Ed daily Maes is a small 4 year old boy, who does not feel any different to having 2 fathers, he longs to be like his father and learn alchemy, and even calls his father the fullmetal alchemist during school presentations (he cannot pronounce the world fullmetal correctly, hence the name of the title) However, another war breaks out, and Roy is called back into war. But he is no longer sitting at his desk, Roy is forced to put on his gloves for one final time, and leave Maes and Edward alone...The scars that were healed, are torn back open when he must kill those he thought as friends. ~Seqeul to Pills and Buttons ~ Edward has finally gotten back to almost normalness. He still works missions, just not as many. Partly legs but also partly the fact Meyer is still loose and Luna is still missing from the Central Command lineup. But what happens when Lust and Envy shoves themselves into the case even deeper? Well, that is for you to find out and for me to know.

Edward has been missing for the last five years, not a trace of him left. Roy has been on end all this time, hoping he would be found among the several hundred thousands of homes. Then, as if by a miracle, he is found in a basement with a second girl who was forced to do something drastic to him. Excerpt: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry Roy. I shouldn't have let you leave, I shouldn't have-." Edward stopped when his weak lips brushed his own. "Don't worry." Roy coughed, gagging softly. "It was my fault."

Edward, Sergeant Brosh and Lieutenant Ross are all captured. When Major Armstrong, Lieutenant Hawkeye, Al and Roy go to save them, Ed is badly hurt. Mentally and physically. He won't talk about what happened. Roy decideds that its his job to fix Ed and over time, falls in love with him

Edward finds out that he has a romantic feeling towards his superior, Roy. He can't handle it, especially since Roy knows and teases him a lot about it. But funny thing... One night..... Can change both Fullmetal and Flame...
