My laughter that turns into a monster, My tears that run wild, My growing love. Everything she should be, That’s my mom. That’s my mom. The one who wasn’t always optimistic but was always by my side. The one who loves for me to be in the car with her but hates when I ask for a ride. That’s my mom. The one who told me to watch my thoughts because they become words. to watch my words because They become actions. to watch my actions because they become habits. “And habits make character, which soon becomes your destiny.” That’s my mom. That’s my mom. The one I feel for because she didn’t have a proper childhood. The one who just needs somebody to love her. That’s my mom. The one who doesn’t want me to get a job in high school because she doesn’t want me to struggle like she did, That’s my mom. My source so comfort, My heart and soul, My everything. That’s my mom. The one who drove me to school when I missed the bus. The one who picked me out of the rain. The one who still listens when I bicker and fuss. The one I’ll walk beside when on a cane. The one who slept with me while I was sick. The one who wants so hard for me to forgive her but little does she know I already did. Everything I have become… That’s my mom.
