Nevertheless, Gemma finds herself drawn to a mysterious boy with glowing eyes. He's handsome, talented, and her heart races whenever he's near. Soon though, she realizes there's something off about him; one minute he's playful and alluring, the next, volatile and angry. Knowing that he'd only be a distraction to her swim training, she tries to stay away from him. Fate however, is not kind to those who resist her plans. Before long, Gemma is treading dangerous waters which will test the limits of her determination and the strength of her courage as she struggles to make the hardest decision of her life.
