There was a different type of unrest that was flowing through the waters of Gaia. A changing age was upon the Merpeople and they were departing their beloved world in droves through opening gateways all over the globe. The Elders that remained had new dilemmas and issues they've never had to face before; including war between their own species. The peaceful era was coming to a close. This is a story about the beginning of the end.

Despite the fact that Blythe didn't choose her new husband to be her partner, the young woman is optimistic-this is a chance for her to join a family that will actually love her! Who wouldn't be hopeful, after enduring 23 years of toxicity and hatred? However, just when Blythe thinks she's found a place to belong, she learns her new family is just as unkind and unsympathetic. She falls into despair, resigning herself to a life where all she can do is gaze out onto the cerulean sea, dreaming of a better life...or so she thinks What Blythe discovers in those tumultuous waters is much more fantastical than just a happy future. Amidst the unknown depths, Blythe encounters the enchanting Calypso; a mystical siren ensnared by the allure of humankind, just as the young woman herself is captivated by this ethereal creature of the sea.
