**Winner of the 2016 Watty Awards in Visual Storytelling, and officially a Wattpad Featured Novel!** Two juniors in high school, each fresh out of a breakup, thousands of miles away from each other. Connor Hall and Sydney Porter didn't expect anything to happen when they were assigned to be each other's pen pals at their respective schools, yet feelings can emerge from anything, even simple letters. Written completely in notes, texts, and social media posts, Dear Sydney is a modern take on the conventional love story, proving that you don't have to be close in miles to be close in your hearts. "Hey Elle," Gavin said in a low tone, wiping the counter clean. "I bet a month's worth of dirty dish duty that you can't turn Scrooge into Santa's head elf in three weeks." Noelle Winters loves Christmas. She loves catching snowflakes on her tongue on snow days, reading by the fireplace with a big cup of hot cocoa. Christmas displays in toy shops and department stores make her happy. She loves how families get together and celebrate during the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas has this jolly, comfortable, warm, cozy, feel to it that makes her want to bury herself in knitted sweaters, light Christmas scented candles and sing Christmas carols in the middle of town square. With the cheery atmosphere in Fairview, who wouldn't join in on the holiday festivities? Oliver Hastings. He hates Christmas. Loathes it. He hates how bright the lights are and how everything in town seems so whimsical and enchanted. It all makes him want to puke. He claims that celebrating the holidays are useless and a waste of his time. So what happens when Elle's boss hires Oliver to work at Gingersnaps? A nuclear explosion of candy canes and sugar plums, that's what. She knows that no one's supposed to be unhappy on Christmas. Not even the grumpy Christmas hater named Oliver. With the help of her best friend Carol, she writes a list of things to try and get Oliver in the spirit. She's determined to show him what he's missed out on so far like; "Go ice skating", "Have a snowball fight", and "Sing Christmas Carols". She has 22 days and she's up for the challenge. last tracked achievements: humor #18 [28/12/14] teen fic #69 [15/12/14]

Sixteen-year-old Opal might be everything you hate in a person. She's snobby, conceited, and has more popularity than she knows what to do with in her sunny and densely populated Florida city. In contrast, Jack, nicknamed "Alaska" by Opal in regards to the quiet Alaskan town where he resides, is sweet, caring, and compassionate. The two are complete opposites in almost every way. When Opal is whisked away to some unheard of town in Alaska to spend spring break with her older brother and brand new and annoying stepsister, she is not happy. After all, spring break is a time to tan and lay by the pool, not freeze in the snow as you only get paler. But things get even more complicated when an accident leaves Opal and Jack lost in the middle of nowhere with nothing more than a survival backpack and each other. Though the two were brought together by chance and they disagree on practically everything, they now must rely on each other if they want to get back in one piece. With constant battles being thrown their way that seem nearly impossible to overcome, confessions that are bound to be unleashed, and the blossoming promise of second chances, there is no telling what lies ahead for these two. They only have one mission: find their way back to civilization in time before it's too late.

[The sequel to Cold Fire] All her life, Melissa has been defined by something she's had no control over: a rare, undiagnosed disease. But even with all the scientific explanations offered to her by the undeniably clueless doctors, she's been living on lies. Because as it turns out, her disease isn't even a disease at all, but an unfortunate side-effect of swapping souls with her childhood friend, Sarah. Now, after swapping back into her true body, Melissa discovers that getting to this point was only half the battle. Her powers are suddenly uncontrollable, she's haunted by fragmented memories of her past at night and plagued by unanswerable questions during the day. On top of all that, she's due to enrol in a new school in only a matter of days. Never mind the fact that no one can get her name right, if she doesn't learn how to control her powers before school starts, she'll be the talk of the town. But there are deadlier battles on the horizon. Suddenly, the half-century old prophecy that paints her as the saviour has come back to bite her in the butt, and if she can't figure out how to stop her uncle before his new project turns into a reality, they may very well end up on course for an apocalypse. All Melissa has ever wanted was a chance at life - a normal life - but now it looks as though she won't survive the winter. And when someone she loves comes back from the dead, she realises that the answers she seeks are buried much deeper then she could ever have imagined, and in order to find out the truth about her future, she'll have to go back a hundred years in the past. © 2015 by shayebay This novel is entirely a work of fiction. Leaving it all behind, Scarlett heads across the country to live with her older sister, arriving with no money or friends and with no idea what to do with her life. As the days and weeks pass by Scarlett's feelings of isolation deepen until a bicycle ride and a punctured tire leads to an introduction with the sweet and charming Noah - a boy with rosy cheeks and scruffy hair.
