Doe is a girl who goes through a lot of heartache, warping her, and ultimately putting her heart in a layer of ice. Her parents die in a terrible accident which forces her to live with her grandparents, her boyfriend who she thought she was in love with cheats on her, and she moves into another state, leaving all of her friends behind. After all of this she comes to a decision: she refuses to care about people anymore. Caring hurts. Now she's showing her abrasive side of herself she never even knew she had. Seeing no more happiness in the world, on a rainy day when no one could see her cry, she decides to stand on the edge of a cliff to end her life. Except she doesn't. That's when she meets Caleb, a complete stranger who gets her not to kill herself. Concerned for her wellbeing, he takes an interest in her. No matter how hard Doe tries to push him away, he doesn't budge. Can he guide her back? Can he show her that life is worth living? Can he help Doe get over the nightmares of her parents' death? Escape an even more sinister dark side of her family's past that's still roaming and tormenting her? Or will Doe look death in the eye as it greets her on the rocky beach below?
