The war between Autobots and Decepticons rages on. The Autobots have had many losses and many victorys but at a heavy cost. One of their greatest losses was that of Cliffjumper. Greatest gain was Smokescreen. Who filled that empty void left by Cliffjumper. But what if I told you cliff survived everything that happened to him. That he was saved by a family of three humans. When the humans are in trouble he must find the Autobots and hope they help him save them. How will he go back to his team? How will he react to the new member? Will he be able to say goodbye to his new family when the time comes. Cliffjumper and Smokescreen both deserve more spotlight... this is my way of giving it to them.

Smokescreen gets captured by the Decepticons and taken to Shockwave's lab and experimented on. The Autobots try to rescue him, but fail. Smokescreen is changed, not mentally, but physically.
