In 1874, Ivy Steele's deafness is more than a handicap. It's a disease. Surrounded by a family that doesn't understand her, she's learned to cope and find solace where she can. Then, the unexpected happens. Her aunt dies, and her uncle sends her away to rejoin her father's family in Montana. Left to fend for herself, after the companion hired to escort her abandons her, Ivy faces continual hardship and danger. Several men see an unaccompanied Ivy as a flower ripe for the picking, and things only get worse when masked men hold up their stagecoach. Barely scraping through, Ivy makes it to Montana with her nerves shaken and what little money she has in her boot. Expecting a peaceful if not affectionate welcome, Ivy finds herself in greater hardship than she's ever known. Surrounded by a stepfamily that hates her, and flung into a life where hearing is vital, Ivy finds solace in a handsome cowboy named Remy. But things with her new family are not what they seem. And Ivy is about to find out that the danger she faced on the journey west, has followed her to Montana... Bethany Swafford dazzles with her stunning young adult debut, introducing a strong heroine, the hardships of frontier life, shocking twists, and a slow-burning romance that will leave you wanting more. Third place winner of the 2018 Rosemary Award

Compton changed everything. In Riverdale, I used to be able to walk outside at night without having to worry about anything happening to me. I could walk outside in broad daylight and wouldn't have to worry about drive-by's. I used to be able to come home and be able to rely on a homemade meal made by mother-and my father sitting on the couch with her. But now, everything's changed. My dad dipped out on me and my mom, my mom and I are struggling to make ends meet, and I'm in these streets. Never would I imagined that myself, Egypt, would be out on the streets selling drugs to support myself. But if it helps me support me and my mother, I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Now I have responsibilities that I would've never expected, and people depend on me more than ever before. © all rights reserved // livythecreator

|| Highest Rank - #1 in Teen Fiction and #5 in Romance || Melody Carson has been in the same class as Tyson McCannon since primary school. She's watched him play with girls, set the school on fire, skip classes, prank teachers, smoke behind the school, break the law, get into fights with other guys for fun and even watched him get suspended for three weeks. He always ruins everything and never does what he is told. Melody has hated him since the day he set foot in her school and luckily he has never noticed her. That is, until now. Tyson has set his eyes on Melody and won't stop until he gets what he wants. And he wants her. *-*-* Note: It is cliché at first but it gets better. [COMPLETED] Copyright © by Laylaa Khan
