She was amiss - out of place - and, coincidentally, also out of time. Her mother used to say, 'Everything happens for a reason'. But Jen was struggling to find a plausible reason why the universe would pluck her out of the comfortable 21st Century and discard her in 17th Century France; a million miles away from home. As returning to her own time grows evermore unlikely and she's pinched herself enough times to make certain of her reality, Jen must learn to adapt to her new surroundings and do what at first seemed impossible: survive. But as women's rights are seemingly non-existent - the only "jobs" available being that of wife, barmaid, servant or whore - Jen is more inclined towards the more unsavoury tactics of survival. || highest rankings || #1 in themusketeers #1 in aramis

As a child you would often hear the tails of the noble and brave Musketeers who risk their lives to defend France. As a young girl my father often told me stories of these courageous soldiers. As time grew on I became more fascinated with the Musketeers. Although every girl by then was fascinated with them, hoping, no dreaming they would meet these men some day and have themselves whisked away by one of them... whereas I....I wanted to become one of them. Since my mother died at an early age, my father tried his best to raise me, but I was always the adventurous type. My father struggled to get me to act like a lady should and to stop with my dreams of becoming a Musketeer, but I always acted out against him. Soon my father grew tired of rebellious attitude and told me I needed to be taught a lesson on how a young lady should act. So my father set up an arranged marriage with a noble man's family from Paris in order to save our title but also to end my dream of becoming a Musketeer once and for all. But there is one thing you should know, is that I, Rose Delacour have never once listened to my father. So why should I start now?
