My soul within rages like a sea--it crashes against this world like the waves ravage the shoreline.

According to the dictionary, a nocturne is a work of art that is inspired by the night. So sing with me, dearest moon, tonight shall be a nocturne. These are thoughts born under the moon's glow; when sheep has run out, and sleep's a child playing hide and seek with the mind. Some moonlit verses from a pillow-hugging girl.

"i am the girl they name hurricanes after because my brain was never wired to be calm." // this is a book of firsts. it's the words that have been stuck in my head since the first time i realized that the world is kind of messy, and things happen for reasons i can't quite understand. it's for the ones who broke my heart when i least expected it, and for the ones that didn't leave me in the dust when i swore i deserved it. it's for the time when i started questioning what i thought i knew about the universe. it's for the cautious explorations of the gray areas of right and wrong. it's for that sleepless night that started it all when an entire spectrum of emotions was taking over my bloodstream and i felt like i couldn't rest until i wrote it all out.
