It is often said that writing is a skill that is never truly mastered. This is a fact. We learn and grow each and every day in our writing. Maybe it is a tip we read, a word we learned, a video we saw, or just simply a critique we received that helps us grow that day but we learned something and will in some way apply it to our writing. This book is my way of putting the tips and prompts I have left on my profile page in one place. I will add more as well. Enjoy! Happy Writing!

A pair of sky blue eyes looked back at me. Matthew. He tapped again. I got up and pulled open my window. "What are you doing here?" I asked timidly. Even though Matthew and I were neighbors, we certainly weren't friends. "I need somewhere to stay and your house is the closest." I noticed he was sporting a fresh bruise on his cheek bone. "Don't you have a friend's house you could go to?" I asked curiously. "That's the first place he'd look." he said simply but seriously. I bit my lip unsure. "Come on, Shaina. It's one night." I finally nodded and stepped away from the window. * This story contains scenes of bullying, self-harm, drugs and abuse with some mature language. *Go check out the sequel But Why Not

"I was nothing but a publicity stunt? Something to keep your band from hitting rock bottom? W-What?" "We're sorry-" "You're not. You don't care. If you did, you wouldn't have taken me out of there. I'd rather be parentless, and living in an adoption center with people who bully me, than to be living in the home being fed with lies and showered with false affection." "You don't mean that. Stop talking nonsense and go to your room." "Oh, but I do."
