Contained here are the original versions of the fairytales you adore. However, the Grimm brothers weren't as kind to the characters as Disney. Beware that your dreams of a fairytale romance will be severely altered once you've read the true story. Happily-ever-afters aren't exactly a hope that is easily obtained. Sorry Cinderella.

The kingdom Dulcia has fallen. Dark creatures have invaded the palace, inslaving all those who work there. The royal family--the only ones able to stop the creatures--have vanished into oblivion. No one has seen or heard from them since the fall. There are rumors. Rumors that they escaped the castle, rumors that they are assembling an army to fight the creatures known as Muraes. Only one thing is for certain. No one knows where they went, nor do they know if they will come back. ________________________________________ Every year, Clair's family goes to the king of Arium's palace for of the most lavish Christmas party imaginable. They meet family, old friends, new acquaininces--anyone they possibly can. Clair never enjoys the huge parties. She prefers to be by herself, drawing or dancing. Until, one year, everything changes. Presented with the most beautiful gift she could possibly imagine, Clair is filled with joy. She clings to her wooden doll with her life, never letting go. When she wakes up one night and it is gone, she panics, searching for it. Only to find a hideous creature. When she is rescued by the same doll she loved, Clair is suddenly swept up into a world of magic, lost kingdoms, and lost royalty. But she is also in the world ruled by darkness. ________________________________________ "When snow falls, the kingdom dies. Light will leave, Dark will rise. It can only be stopped by treasure as pure as gold, as light as air, but strong and bold. Only then will the leader rise, out from ashes and hidden from prying eyes." ***** 2018 Wattys Shortlist 2018 Wattys Longlist Featured story Awesome cover by @elphadora ***** Loosely based on The Nutcracker (both book and ballet)

Kylissa has something of a problem. Between being treated like a porcelain doll and becoming lost wherever she goes, she longs for the opportunity to prove herself as strong to her brothers and father. Her opportunity to do so comes in the form of an unexpected trip to Fey, the fantastical realm where all manner of fairy tale creatures exist. But all is not well in this land of magic, and if she is not careful, Kylissa may lose her very soul to the world of Fey. Note: This is a rough draft. I'm currently in the process of editing, so if you have any constructive criticism, it would be much appreciated! :) Disclaimer: the images I used to make the cover are not mine. [ Fantasy / Romance / Book 1 ] In Pyxis, a city of fairies at the icy border of civilization, Queen Andromeda intends to reach into the modern world of humans and kill everyone associated with her ex-husband, Scott MacRae, the King of the Unworthy, born with the ability to live in either world, fairy or human. Scott's sons, Christopher and Joseph MacRae, are enmeshed in their own struggles, oblivious of the forces that have shaped their lives and led to a rift between them. The fate of the MacRae family rests in very small hands. With the queen's estranged daughter, Cassiopeia, acting as their guide, the MacRae brothers learn more about their intertwined families and embark on a quest to find Scott MacRae before Andromeda finds him first. Their quest, shared by the fairy princess, takes them great distances, both geographical and personal. All the while, Pyxis plagues their thoughts, haunts their dreams, and sends forth its dark messengers to carry out the war that started long before they were born. It is possible that love could heal old wounds. But in the wrong place at the wrong time, it may have as much dividing power as evil does. . . . *BOOK 1, SECOND EDITION *A Wattpad Featured Story *@fantasy - "Dark Fantasy" reading list *@highfantasy - "PRYTHIAN | Fae and Fairies" reading list *RUNNER UP in the Earnesty's Writer Awards "Fairy Tale" sub-genre The Fairy Tale series: Disgrace (prequel) 1) Winter's Bite 2) The Rising Star by
