Her father was crazy, mad! He turned people, real, living, breathing, people into dolls for experiment. He had killed his wife and made his assistant, Maria, lie to Aya saying it was illness. She lived there for years under the hand of a mad man. When she and Maria managed to get away, barely escaping with their lives, Dio chose to burn the mansion down. It would lift the curse; destroy all trace of mad father's existence. Dio knew for a fact once the curse was lifted he and the other dolls would be nothing but simple lifeless shells. 'I thought the curse was lifted. Once the mansion burned down... I should be dead... Is he still there? Did he not die?' These are thoughts that run through Dio's mind daily.
