Ever since photographer Lacy Maguire caught her ex playing Pin the Secretary to the Elevator Wall, she's been content with her dog Fabio, her three cats, and a vow of chastity. But all of that changes when the reindeer-antlered Fabio drags in a very desperate, on-the-run detective who decides to take refuge in her house -- a house filled with twinkling lights and a decorated tree. (Okay, so it's February, but she has a broken heart to mend, a Christmas-card shoot to do, and a six-times divorced, match-making mother to appease.) For the first time in a looooong while, Lacy reconsiders her vow. Because sexy Chase Kelly, wounded soul that he may be, would be an oh-so-delicious way of breaking her fast. Now, if she can just keep them both alive and him out of jail....

This is a Fairy Tail fan-fiction: Natsu X OC (Serenity Rose, the Water Dragon Slayer). There are also some Gray moments if you prefer the Ice-Make stripper-boy. ~***~ Natsu appeared next to her, falling to his knees and cupping her bloodstained face in his large, calloused hands. "Serenity... Serenity... Serenity," he chanted over and over, his dark-eyes filling with tears. "You're going to be okay." Leaning over, he kissed her forehead. "You hear me! You're going to be okay." "Na...tsu," she croaked, her eyes slowly fluttering closed as she no longer had the energy to keep them open. ~***~ Serenity Rose has a destiny. She doesn't know what that destiny is exactly. However, between being abandoned by her dragon when she was twelve, getting adopted by the Heartfilia family, meeting Natsu, and joining the guild of her dreams, she can tell it's a weird one.

Dear Reader, If you've seen a demon or come in contact with one- well, you're pretty much screwed. Demons are (supposedly) merciless and terrifying, right? Wrong. They're worse. Demons are the most corrupt, destructive, malicious creatures in existence. And the worst part? I am one. Don't let it fool you, I'm quite friendly and I only suck souls out of the guilty. I didn't have a choice about becoming a demon. But sadly, other demons aren't like me, so try to avoid them. Try to avoid me, as well. Demons will be the destruction of you. If you haven't been contacted by a demon yet, or even seen one at all, then consider yourself lucky, because they are everywhere. There are the ones that roam Hell, but there are also ones that roam Earth. They live among you, disguised as friends and family members. You never know who is a demon until it is too late. If you haven't been contacted by a demon, don't read this book. It's like a huge beacon calling out to all of the demons, attracting them to you. Don't take the chance, it's not worth it at all. Just go find something else to read, something cheery and happy, preferably about unicorns and rainbows. If you have been already contacted by a demon, then go ahead and read this book. It might just save your life as you journey into the unknown. Best of luck, Rynn Hale
