Perfect Illusion is the FIRST book in the Perfect series, followed by the soon-to-be released film PERFECT ADDICTION. Published as an ebook/ on kindle ***** When college student Alex Woods agrees to a fake engagement plot to save her parents' company from bankruptcy, the last thing she expects is to fall for the illusion herself. ***** Alex Woods thinks college will be a fresh start, but when her parents announce their business has gone bankrupt, all of her plans come crashing down. The company has been saved by a wealthy business owner, but it comes with a condition: Alex has to pretend to be engaged to his son, Daniel, for the next 3 years. Daniel Kerrington is 100% swoonworthy, but Alex knows that beneath those killer good looks is a poisonous personality, and Daniel has made it clear the hatred is mutual. "Je la veux, je la désire plus que tout. Elle fait partie de moi. Son odeur, son sourire, son regard, sa peau. Tout m'obsède en elle. Elle m'obsède. À tel point que j'en ferai ma proie. Elle l'ignore encore, mais elle m'appartient déjà." "Prête tout pour lui échapper. Quitte à en perdre ce que je suis, quitte à accomplir les pires actes". Détrompez-vous : la haine est un sentiment passionnel. La peur en est le commencement. [Tous droits réservés ©]

Staring in turmoil at her bloodstained hands, she could not yet see the decaying corpses. They were at her feet, in a pool of blood. She stretched out her fingers and in-between them saw torn and nameless faces. She was dripping down in blood that did not belong to her. She raised her eyes to the dark sky as if she were seeking answers, knowing that she would not find them. She shut her eyes and opened her senses. The violent wind bore the foul smell of rotting bodies, distant cries of anguish, but also a faint murmur. So weak, that she could hardly hear it. She knew neither from where nor from whom it came; she could not see beyond the mountains of corpses. She closed her eyes once again in anger and desperation, while tears of blood ran down her cheeks. Her anger grew as the murmur became weaker and quieter, drowned in the screams of the dead. She kept her eyes shut as her tears weighed down and the blood on her hands thickened. A sharp pain overwhelmed her, she felt as if she were set apart and put together repeatedly. She grimaced in pain while focusing on the weak murmur. And at last, "Adwoa" she heard. She heard it once again as it became clearer and clearer to her. She opened her eyes slowly in realization, and "Adwoa," passed her lips in a gentle murmur. She repeated it again, louder as the cries of the dead quieted down. Strangely, her turmoil faded, her anger subsided, and her earlier torment became nothing but a vague memory...
