Lauren was in a bad situation, a horrible one at that. She was being neglected severely and was very fragile. She'd gone through an awful lot for her to only be barely 18. While she was 18 years old, she was the size of a small child due to her having been neglected for so long and it permanently stunting her growth. Lauren was also developmentally delayed because of the severe neglect she went through. She was all alone, until someone finds her.
