Savannah is a girl who thinks she's got it all together, but after hearing the secret her parents are keeping from her, she falls apart. She is furious with her parents. They thought they were protecting her with lies, but that made it worse. Savannah learns to forgive, and she turns to Jesus for help. Savannah thinks she's a Christian, But she's not, and she's not serious about her Christianity. Savannah is not the only one the secret hurts, her brother, Luis, is also hurt by it. It affects Savannah and Luis' relationship with each other, and with their parents.

Sometimes, expecting something out of someone is the worst way to connect with them. Tin Tin Amble knows this all too well, coming from a family with a father who wants him to do everything but what Tin Tin wants to do and a mother living in fear that her marriage isn't scaling up to what she expected.
