A recently out divorcee must explore his identity and how to not be the straight-acting man he's been his whole life. Just when he has found his footing, a flamboyant trans man jumbles up his ideas about what it means to be gay, to be masculine, to be a man. *** Edwin realises he's gay at the ripe age of 56. Coming-out should set him free to finally explore his sexuality, but honestly? He feels lost. He's getting a divorce after thirty years of marriage, half of his friends turn out to be homophobes, he feels an interloper in LGBT places, and for the first time ever, he's living alone. His only remaining certainty - the one he's risked everything for - is that he's attracted to men. To affirm his sexuality, Edwin focuses on everything masculine and seeks out gay men like him. But just when he finds his footing, a flamboyant gay man jumbles up all his ideas about what it means to be gay, to be masculine, to be a man. If Edwin wants to find his community, he'll need to re-examine what it takes to belong. *** Cover by the amazing @SmokeAndOranges! Cover image found by @galaxiesuniverses

Eli Ackermann has always lived a very normal and boring life despite the fact he's always stood out, different for all the wrong reasons. Jewish, mentally ill and a bit too close with his friend Peter Printz for society's comfort, he's been an outcast since Hitler came to power in the 30s. As the years pass and the political situation in Germany worsens, Eli and Peter grow more involved in underground resistance groups to the Nazis where people like them are not outcasts anymore, but are welcomed with open arms. But war looms on the horizon and more and more of their friends are disappearing and never returning. A new struggle lies around every corner. Neil was caught between a hard place and a rock. His lungs heaved as he desperately tried to suck in air, but to no avail. He couldn't breath. Tears ran down his face as he smothered his strangled sobs against his pillow. He didn't know how long he could keep up this act. All he wanted was Todd. Todd couldn't sleep. He hadn't been able to for the past few nights. All he could think about was Neil. His lips as they closed over a cigarette. His brown eyes sparkling as he practiced his lines as Puck. His wet hair and how it clung to his neck after a shower. Todd squeezed his eyes tight as he tried to will away the wicked images. He shouldn't be staring at his best friend like that. It was unnatural. It meant he was a fairy. Yet Todd couldn't help but stare. A story of two boys coming together, overcoming some of life's obstacles, and falling in love with each other; until one is tragically taken away.

At first glance, nobody would be able to tell that Nathaniel Jean had a problem. Or second glance, or third, or fourth. After all, he had everything. He was a captain of his school's soccer team and one of the top players in the state. He had a big house and money to spend. He had family, he had friends, he had fun, he had faith. He never meant for it to happen. He never wanted to look at another man in the way he should have been looking at a woman. The idea had disgusted him for most of his life - living in a heavily Catholic town with heavily Catholic parents, homophobia was the only response he knew. That didn't change when he first realized that he didn't like girls. No, Nathaniel Jean was still homophobic. He hated the idea of a man sleeping with another man. He was raised on the notion that all gays went to hell, and he believed it. He despised them, and so he despised himself. Nathaniel Jean was more fortunate than most, because help did arrive for him. Help by the name of Lucas Morgan, they boy he'd always known but never known. The boy with big dreams and bigger talent. The boy that changed Nathaniel's life over the course of their thirty-six week long senior year.

Levi wasn't the kind of guy to go around kissing strangers, least of all the insufferable princes these events tended to attract. But something about Prince Charles made him feel a little stupid -- almost stupid enough to believe in love at first sight. ~~~ When Levi, the youngest prince of Arthur Island, is forced by his parents to attend a performative "good relations" ball in their rival country, he can't wait for the night to end. That is, until he meets Prince Charles, the charming heir to the Elizabethan throne. Love is in the air, so palpable they can't seem to escape it no matter how hard they try. As if navigating seventeen-year-old emotions isn't hard enough already, their families drop a bomb that will only make it harder: In the name of permanent peace, Prince Charles is to marry Arthur's youngest royal. No, not Levi. His twin sister, Amelia.

The year is 1879. When thirteen-year-old Ruth Merritt Holbrook emerges from her family's burning estate, bloody and charred, but entirely numb--She makes headlines. Reporters believe she is deranged. They accuse her of having set the fire. All the headlines read: "UNSUSPECTING FAMILY SLAIN BY DERANGED DAUGHTER." Everyone believes it. How else could a highbred girl exit a burning building, injured yet senseless? Why did she not scream or cry? The police tell her she is a killer. The doctors tell her she is mad. The nuns at St. Agatha's tell her she is possessed. Perhaps, Ruth Merritt Holbrook is all of those things-or perhaps she is much more. Mysterious and Paranormal. Romance. More than meets the eye. ******* Sgt. Barton Rucklesbee September 13, 1882 The following is an account sent to our office on the first of this month. The whereabouts of those listed in this document are currently unknown. Case Notes: Personally, I don't believe a word of this. It seems like a child's story to me. Best not to be taken too seriously. Read at your own folly as it is quite the elaborate tale and you may find yourself wasting the entirety of a day on it. Sgt. Barton Rucklesbee ******* Senseless: The Unnatural Case Of Miss Merritt Holbrook ******* Author's note: This is a novel I wrote for my undergraduate thesis. I studied the Victorian era/ genre and wrote a novel in the styles of "Dracula" and Leanna Renee Hieber's "Darker Still." There are a lot of sections but they are all fairly short. Also, it may not be perfectly edited. To the wonderful grammar wizards out there, don't worry about it. Just sit back and enjoy the story and characters, I'll deal with the grammar later. Thanks for reading! Enjoy. :) First Posted: August 31, 2018 {On the Wattpad featured list 9/20/18}

"Brandon..... You're hurting me.", I hissed at him as he tightened his hold around my arm. "I don't give a fuck!", He hissed back digging holes inside me through his gaze. The person who stood in front of me, wasn't even a smallest, single fraction of the Brandon I loved... the Brandon who loved me. "Now listen carefully....", he dragged me as he pushed me against a wall hurting my back still holding my arm tightly. "I'm warning you for the last time.", He hissed closing the distance between the two of us to zero. His closeness still had an effect on my heartbeat that raced manically but little did it effect Brandon who stood digging holes into my entire body through his death glare. "I'm warning you for the last time... Don't test my patience. Try and act smart again and I'll show you how I can ruin you, your entire family and that little business of yours and the families of hundreds of your employees. Trust me, if killing you was an option I wouldn't have waited for a single second to get rid of you... So don't get on my nerves before I decide to change my mind.", He said out loud glaring directly into my eyes. There wasn't a small hint of sadness or sorrow but pure hatred and annoyance in his eyes as he uttered those words rendering me rather shocked. He let go off my arm and walked out I stood still, frozen at the thought of how can he hate me so much? My heart still flattered at his touch and here he was... He hated me to death! ********** For six years Amy stayed away from home, her family and friends. She ran away leaving behind everything and everyone. Even the guy she loved with all her heart. She built herself strong enough to fight the world and now she's finally back home... only to be married to ruthless, Mayor -- Brandon Mayhew, who hates her with all his might for breaking his heart. Will she be able to tame the hatred that the Mayor has for her? Or completely loose herself all over again? ***** This is book 2 to Period!
