The Waraha family and the Austin family had long shared a close friendship, to the point where they agreed to establish a company together - Waratin Group. As a symbol of trust and generational legacy, their daughters, Engfa Waraha and Charlotte Austin, were appointed as co-CEOs of the company. However, what was thought to be a decision that would unite the two families instead became the beginning of an unexpected conflict. Engfa and Charlotte despised each other - not because of some major event or clear grudge, but rather a hatred whose origin they themselves couldn't explain. Whenever they met, arguments were inevitable. Their opinions rarely aligned, and every conversation easily turned into a quarrel. Frustrations and anger often spilled over onto their respective teams. Engfa's team consisted of Nessa, Aoom, and Patcha, while Charlotte's was made up of Tina, Malin, and Snack. The situation grew even more complicated when Charlotte hired a new staff member, a beautiful and talented woman named Lingling Kwong. Since Lingling's arrival, Charlotte became more open and spent much of her time with her new staff. Unexpectedly, Lingling was secretly harboring feelings for Charlotte. Engfa began to notice something strange within herself. She felt uneasy whenever she saw the closeness between Charlotte and Davika. Jealousy ? But why ? She had never liked Charlotte... or had she ? Things grew even more tangled when Engfa ran into an old friend from university, Jeff Satur, a man who once had feelings for her. His presence sparked yet another conflict - because this time, Charlotte seemed uncomfortable seeing Engfa with him. Two hearts, both denying their true feelings, were now confronted with one big question: Do they truly hate each other... or are they hiding something much deeper ?

although this can be read as a standalone story, it is book 2, the follow up to the cracks in our foundations. eighteen months has past and both Engfa and charlotte have dealt with their breakup in different ways. a chance meeting in a corridor will force them both to acknowledge that moving on would require more than just pretending, but would moving forward allow them to find their way back? that is the question at the heart of this story.

After eleven years together and seven years of marriage, Charlotte Austin believed her life was built on something permanent. Routine. Devotion. The quiet certainty of shared breath beneath the same roof. At thirty-one, the renowned photographer thought she understood how marriages survived. She believed stability came from endurance, from learning how to hold the fragile structure of a life together. She was wrong. When her wife, Engfa Waraha-a thirty-four-year-old trauma surgeon-begins to change, the shift is so subtle Charlotte cannot name it at first. There is no argument. No confession. No moment where something clearly breaks. Just distance. Conversations shorten. Glances become unreadable. The warmth that once defined their home recedes into a silence that grows heavier with every passing day. Engfa offers no explanation. And Charlotte, who has built a career capturing the delicate moment before something collapses, finds herself standing inside one she cannot understand. Because the most unsettling fractures are not the ones that shatter loudly. They are the ones that form quietly-between unfinished sentences, avoided questions, and the slow realization that the person beside you may already be somewhere else. As doubt settles into the spaces their love once occupied, Charlotte begins to question everything she thought she knew about loyalty, trust, and the quiet promises people make when they believe a life together is permanent. What she does not yet realize is that some truths in a marriage do not arrive as revelations. They exist long before anyone is willing to admit them. And sometimes the real damage is not what one person hides, but what the other refuses to see. ⚠️ Content Warning: This story contains GP/Intersex themes, a slow-burn storyline, heavy angst, and infidelity. Please feel free to skip it if you're not comfortable with these themes.

Charlotte Austin was born a queen-the only daughter of Thailand's richest family, owners of The Austin Enterprises. She had wealth, power, and admiration... but never the love she craved. In her shadow lived Engfa Waraha, the maid's daughter-quiet, invisible, and despised by Charlotte from the very beginning. While Charlotte ruled the house, Engfa studied relentlessly, determined to rise above her station. Two years of a scholarship program in the UK changed everything. Engfa returns as the CEO of Thailand's fastest-growing company-powerful, untouchable, and unstoppable-just as the Austin empire collapses into bankruptcy. Crowns fall, fortunes crumble, and suddenly, the fate of the Austins rests in the hands of the girl they once overlooked. But the war is far from over. In a desperate move to save their family and business, Mr. Austin requests a marriage between Engfa and Charlotte-a union Engfa loathes, forced into proximity with the very person who once tormented her. Charlotte, burning with her own desire for revenge, agrees-not for love, but to reclaim power, to dominate the girl who rose above her. A slow-burn, angst-filled story of pride, hatred, vengeance, and a dangerous, undeniable attraction that neither of them expected. Engfa G!P
