Kellin has a lot of issues which he covers up with acting out and being down right sassy. Vic, his new guidance counselor and teacher, however sees right through his carefree act. Vic just wants to help him, like any guidance counselor would, but he didn't expect to get so close.

(TRIGGER WARNING. Contains many suicide themes) After a bad break-up with his boyfriend, Kellin feels like he's left with nothing, so he attempts suicide. Now he's thrown into suicide watch and there's only one person who he feels like opening up to; the positive and cheery volunteer, Vic.

Kellin Quinn is the kid in the back of the class, who gets bullied because of his sexuality. Vic Fuentes is the one who seems to be at every social event their school has. Simply put, these two are look like polar opposites, right? Wrong. Everybody has secrets that they never intend on telling anyone, but sometimes, we all make slips. (An/(like years after I wrote this) I went back and read some of this and thought, "huh. I shoulda put a trigger warning in this self harm and maybe slight suicide warnings." So yeah. That.)

Vic Fuentes is an oral deaf. Which means, he's deaf, but he talks. Only rarely to his choice. In his family, they treat him differently because of his hearing. They treat him like a baby, and he hates it. He talks to people by reading their lips. Vic is new to Mountain View High School. He had transferred because of a bullying situation. Kellin Quinn, is the school clown. He'll make a joke here and there to lessen the beating might get from the school bullies. He gets picked on and called names, but hides that with a smile and a joke. He's that kid, the one that worries about everyone else but him. Kellin accidentally bumps into Vic in the hallway and makes a joke looking at his shoes. Vic not hearing what he says asks him to repeat it. Will that one question bring them together? (Of course it will, it's a fanfic.)
