she wasn't loved. she couldn't remember the last time she was loved. when she was wanted. her parents were screwed up people. they believed everything happened to someone for a reason, and if someone were to, for example, become critically ill with leukemia, it was their fault. it was god's will.
this is where h.y.d.r.a. comes in. she once had a name that actually meant something to her. roselyn marie carter.
she was only thirteen years old when she was diagnosed with stage one leukemia, very early, giving her a few years if left untreated. and it was. her parents did nothing, forcing roselyn to seek outside measures.
technically, they approached her, and she made the mistake of accepting their proposition. they would take her to a facility where she would be lightly experimented on, nothing major, and she would be cured within a year. she accepted, and vanished off the face of the earth.
they lied.
she was tortured relentlessly, poking needles in her brain, surgically changing the chemical and genetic makeup of her dna structure. scientists flooded her veins with a mixture of liquid oxygen, liquid hydrogen, grains of dirt, and water. they flooded and flushed her lungs with water to the point of drowning, and finally, after four years, she was cured. she mutated after relentless experimentation and torture.
she was hydrokinetic, pyrokinetic, terrakinetic, aerokinetic. technically, as they put it, rose now had the ability of multikinesis. with this newfound ability, she was given a mission. step one? infiltrate the avengers. step two? tear it apart, piece by piece, from the inside out. if she defied the mission, she would die. with step one complete, roselyn now has a choice.
kill or be killed.
