She thought that she had nothing to lose. But when she meets Sam, her whole point on it changes with the help of Sam. Sam is the girl at shadyside high. Deena thinks Sam is homophobic but it turns out Sam is also a lesbian. But Sam is willing to do anything to stay hidden. This doesn't have the horror aspects as the movie.
