Anxiety-ridden, nightmare expert Charlotte 'Charlie' Jackson has been receiving witty, heartwarming, anonymous notes since the beginning of the school year. One afternoon, Charlie notices she did not find a note for the first time all year and suddenly gets the urge to figure out who writes them, and why they have been writing the notes to her. However, being awkward and antisocial, she can't bring herself to question anyone about them. As Charlie narrows down her list of possible note writers, she befriends her main suspects. While Charlie deals with the nagging question of who writes her the notes, she experiences late night phone calls, memorable sleepovers, and kisses from a boy who reminds her of the sea and the stars. • • • ✨ Read the completely edited version on SwoonReads.com and help me get published by rating it! link also in bio/search "a note a day" and it's the first option that shows up! https://www.swoonreads.com/m/a-note-a-day-2/✨ • • • | #26 in teen fiction, 4/3/16 | [a wattpad featured story, 3/7/16] [ copyright © Sophie Claflin, A.K.A Siriusly_fandoms 2015 All Rights Reserved ] **this is the unedited version, read it on swoonreads.com for the edited version. • • • [ GLORIOUS COVER BY - @aeroship; covers used before -@SurroundedByThorns, @akacute . . . 'Just ten more seconds. Ten more seconds of weakness and you're back to being your cold self', I told myself firmly. I counted to ten silently and then stood up wiping my cheeks and making my face expressionless. I then put my hand up and pulled out my locket from beneath my shirt. "If you want the rainbow you've got to deal with the rain," I imagine my mom's voice reminding me. But what if the rain just keeps getting thicker and faster mom? What then?' ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Everyday Cara Lawson bears the death of her mother from a car accident three years ago. But slowly, in the agonizing time since, she pulled herself back together, piece by piece by broken piece, locking away her emotions in a part of her heart visible only to her siblings. Pushing away all but her siblings, even her very best friends, she was a shell of a person that she was before her mother's death. But at least she was surviving. And then her father falls ill with terminal cancer, slowly succumbing to a painful death. And then... well everything goes to hell. Left alone at 18, oldest of four and now the guardian of her three siblings, she retreates into a lonely darkness putting up walls to prevent herself from ever loving anyone again (unless it's her siblings). But as is bound to happen, at the end of every tunnel their is light. And Cara's light happens to go by the name Parker Stone, Stonewall High's very own personal bad boy. He needs a place to live, she needs a baby daddy. Pietro Santangelo and Marguerite White are students at prestigious Columbia University in New York City. She is a fun-loving, free spirit who finds herself in a bit of a familial bind, he is an exchange student with a chronic case of poverty. They concoct a plan that they think will work, not realizing how much changes with two simple words... Pete merely looked at her and opened a box of books. He took some out and began placing them on the shelves, bending and stretching at his task. He had a nice back, broad shoulders and muscles that could be seen clearly under his light blue T-shirt. Daisy watched for a minute, fascinated. "Like what you see?" he asked without turning around. She jumped at the sound of his voice. "Well, you're the only thing in the room that's moving, you know?" she said by way of explanation. He turned around to look at her, books in either hand, a small grin on his face. "Of course, what was I thinking?" he asked rhetorically. "And look. We're both adults here, hm?" He looked carefully at her. "The couch we just brought up here cost fifty dollars at the second-hand store, and has to be at least thirty years old. I don't want to sleep on it, and I don't think you're going to want to sleep on it, either." She shook her head. "So the bed is nice and big," he continued. "I think we can manage, don't you? We can share the bed." He watched her for her reaction. "I give you my word this is not going to be a problem for me. At all. Is this going to be a problem for you?" She looked at him. "Really? At all?" She recovered from the unintentional meaning of his words quickly. "No, it won't be a problem for me, either," she said firmly. "We can share the bed."
