Remember," her voice grew as faint as the midnight breeze, her amber eyes blazing with fire. "Choose wisely, for your choice changes the course of a thousand moons." Sparkfur stood, her paws planted to the ground. Cinder held her gaze for a moment longer before turning away. There was only one choice. Without hesitation, Sparkfur followed the mysterious she-cat into the shadows. Sparkpaw is determined to be the greatest warrior in SkyClan. As she strives for her goal, an ominous prophecy hangs dangerously above her head. Secrets are spilled like blood, and now young Sparkfur is on her own. She doesn't have her Clan to support her and she must make her own choices. Will she survive? Or will she have to face the consequences of treading the dark path to absolute power?

Ever since she was a young kit, all Larkpaw has wanted to do was to help her Clanmates. Thus, it seems an obvious choice to become the medicine cat apprentice. From her first night as an apprentice onward, however, the young cat is haunted by disturbing dreams of battle and bloodshed. Perhaps these visions mean that she chose right, becoming ThunderClan's bridge between the living and their warrior ancestors, but she can't help but wonder if the path she's chosen is truly the best way to serve her Clanmates. When all-out war breaks out between her Clan and one of the others who share its borders, her faith and loyalty in StarClan, her Clanmates, and herself are truly put to the test. ----- This fanfiction is based on some of the very first WARRIORS characters and plots I- and one of my close friends- came up with after getting into the series many years ago. While the originals were perhaps not the most well thought-out or intriguing in the world (or even among WARRIORS fanfiction), they actually weren't horrible, and with some tweaking I managed to make it into a decent story. Thus, this fanfiction is a callback to simpler times- the old forest where dead cats stayed dead, living cats stayed in their borders (mostly), no one had powers, medicine cats actually CHOSE to be medicine cats, and not everything happened because of a prophecy probably (definitely) revolving around ThunderClan. That said, I feel as though I should apologize that this story takes place mostly within ThunderClan; I considered changing it, but I felt that switching Clans would not be true enough to the original stories and characters (as bland and childish as they may have been). I do hope, however, that I've managed to make ThunderClan a BIT less Sue-y and unlikeable. All that said, thank you for reading! (Avengers Age of Ultron Fanfic) Raptor isn't your typical girl. She wasn't born, she was created in a lab by a group who called themselves HYDRA. For what exactly? Why, for project Extinction: a project that combined human DNA with that of dinosaurs that would then be used to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers. The only problem the scientists had was keeping the specimens alive. Raptor was going to be the alpha in a group of ten but was the only one to survive the gene syncing and trials out of fifty total dinosaurs. Now she is their secret weapon, along with the Maximoff twins, as the Avengers start their decent to gain back Loki's scepter. But another problem Strucker has is actually controlling Raptor Alpha, she refuses to listen to orders, though often does as they wish in her own time and way. Willow's had to fight to get to where she is now. She doesn't need anyone telling her what to do or how to do it. Her life is perfect the way it is, but it's near impossible for her to fulfill her wants of keeping her independent lifestyle. For starters, Willow isn't even human; she's a Volpe (fox-shifter), but being a Volpe is more complicated than simply being able to shift into a fox. For thousands of years, there were only humans and for those thousands of years, they killed each other over the color of their skin. But that was then. Now shifters are an everyday part of life and no one cares about the color of a person's skin: it's their species, and it's even worse than it was between humans and the levels of melanin in their skin. Volpes are the most hated of all the species. Supposedly cunning and deceitful to many, they are discriminated against and viewed as nuisances. Lupos (wolf-shifters) hate them most of all, with Volpes returning the favor. Lupos - with their powerful packs and Alphas throughout the world - have the obvious social advantage over Volpes, but that doesn't stop the world from turning and the natural course of events to happen. Every shifter will eventually find and bond to a person who compliments them in every sense for no other reason than a cruel twist of their reproductive biology. With little to no conscious decision as to who their "mate" will be, two shifters - two strangers - are forced together, their fates forever intertwined because of a chance encounter. To many, this is seen as a blessing, but to Willow, a so-called "soul-mate" is the farthest thing from her mind.
