Tygan Reaver has never had it easy. His parents ran from the Arius Station massacre only to die, homeless and destitute, in the brutally dangerous Understory of the Andaran Megapolis, a vast, sprawling, overpopulated trade outpost in the Interstellar Collective. Left to fend for himself at the age of twelve, he learns to scrape by, and manages to scratch out a meager living for himself selling whatever he can find for whatever he can get. Until he finds Sierra; beaten, traumatized, and discarded in a municipal garbage heap. But the first contact Tygan has had with another human in ten years doesn't go anywhere near the way he imagined, and Sierra turns out to be much more trouble than he bargained for. Special Ops Lieutenant Sierra Jameson knows things she shouldn't know, and she will do anything it takes to get that information back to her unit, even if it means kidnapping the street tough who dragged her out of the trash. To her surprise, however, the street tough manages to save both their lives when the forces hunting her catch up with her again. Stuck together by circumstances now out of their control, the two of them make a mad run for the Centauri Outpost and what Sierra assumes is safety in the human-controlled Genevan Quadrant. But the clock is ticking, and their desperate journey takes increasingly dangerous turns, stretching their uneasy alliance to the limit as their fight to reach Sierra's military handler becomes a battle just to survive.

"This book speaks to anyone with a neurodivergent brain, that may feel like an alien here on earth. I swear Browning made me laugh and cry and question reality...sometimes all in the same sentence." -JD Todd, author The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it. Potto is dim-witted, extremely forgetful and incredibly naïve. He wasn't always this way. Aye-Aye is devilishly shrewd and has boozed his way into a comfortable existence of incompetence and sleaze. How they ended up being two of the most wanted aliens in the galaxy is anyone's guess. Chased down by every oddball bounty hunter in the known universe, and befriended by a libidinous assassin, a fire-breathing reptilian, and a telepathic tree, their misadventures take them past Earth (the mall planet), to a floating sex circus, a planet of killer stuffed animals, an underground spaceship impound lot, and to a planet of reasonably priced bungalows. All while flying around in a ship powered by the brain waves of a psycho killer. A great prophecy proclaims that only "one of light, and one of dark" can save the universe from the dictatorship of The Node. That can't be Potto and Aye...Potto doesn't know what the word prophecy means, and neither know how to spell it. Part sci-fi epic, part absurd dark comedy, I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room is a comment on human behavior, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. But way more fun than that sounds. So, do up your space seatbelts...it's going to be a bumpy ride. Despite the lack of potholes in space. (Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed! Enjoy! A pretty fluffy Jopper fan fic. Some angst, theories, and feels. Flashbacks to teenage Jopper. Title inspired by Seeing Stars by Børns. I'll put songs in each part that fit Jopper.

Five-year-old Kendall Frodell is a genius and has been ever since she was born. The fact that she can and does read high school material, can mentally solve a wide array of equations, and has an incredible memory for trivia could've all easily skipped her from Kindergarten to fifth grade. But Kenny's intelligence (along with her voice) hides behind vague, situation-based index cards and rewritten answers. Things quickly change when she becomes afflicted with peculiar fainting spells-- ones where she walks, writes, and even solves equations while seemingly unconscious. Her erudition is unwillingly revealed, and she's whisked off to an academy for people like her. Very suddenly becoming aware of a whole society of gifted children, school has never been more challenging. An enforced social hierarchy, infamously harsh teachers, blockheaded children-- and the brief disappearances of her classmates only add to everything. In the style of both Ender's Game and the X-Men, The Prodigies is a piece of speculative fiction that will leave you...curious. Highest Ranking: #2 in Science Fiction [©2017-2018.
