As they are searching, they come across the perfect actor. Mavis, a phan of Dan and Phil since 2008, who they cast as the character Dan falls in love with. Soon they learn that Mavis has much more to her, underneath her pretty face. More to what she tells. What happens when Dan finds himself playing the role too realistically, and actually falling for her? And to make it worse, when Mavis finds out the relationship Dan has with Phil, she is not happy. Dan Howell is 17 years old. He's lives in a wealthy neighbourhood and has never had a problem when it comes to money. His parents travel a lot for work, leaving him in a house too big for one person and providing him with the money he needs to take care of himself. Phil Lester turned 18 a few weeks ago, meaning he aged out of the foster system. He is living in an abandoned house with limited supplies that are running out fast. He has no idea where to turn next. All his life Dan was used to being put last, all he wanted was to be felt loved and be wanted. He thought he had everything he wanted with his boyfriend until he starts showing his true colors, being really loud and abusive. An incident at the park makes Dan feel like maybe this is what he deserves and what he has to deal with for the rest of his life until a kind stranger steps in, defending him.
