You cough as smoke clears in the darkness around you. Portals were never fun. After all these years and the side effects of smoke and landing on your face were still a very prominent problem. You squint as all forms of colour fade slowly away, keeping to a crouch as to not attract too much attention. Portals weren't exactly secretive either. Especially if this is the place you had hoped to arrive. There is always a slight apprehension with such whimsical forms of realm travelling. Of course, the premise is simple - simply think of where you want to go, and you would arrive there. However it wasnt quite as easy. Minds are complex. There were so many ways for it all to go wrong. Yet, as always, the last of the smoke fell to a green tint in the moonlight, with slight hints of black and yellow thrown into the mixture. This was definitely the place you had wanted to go. A flood of relief fills you and you kneel down and sit on the familiar grass. You look around cautiously, examining the area around you. You seem to be in a small clearing, surrounded by tall trees that fall into black silhouettes in the moonlight. The moon was full too, as a perfect circle, creating just enough light for you to see the shadowed green grass before it hit the darkness of the forest. Strangely, you are alone, not even an evening breeze. You feel your bow and arrows neatly weighted across your back - ready for action...or anything else that had to follow…
