She's forced to deal with loss, loneliness, and the grueling challenge for survival every single day. She doesn't have much left to remember her old life besides an old, dinged up i-pod that doesn't even work, and of course her memories. Until one day, she comes face to face with an important piece of her past. Her long lost childhood friend, Daryl Dixon. After a decade of zero contact, preceded by a bitter fallout, how will these two handle their unexpected reunion?

"Oh come on now Levi. There's no need to be threatened. I don't want Kylie... Yet," he said before going upstairs. I replayed those three sentences in my head over and over, pissing myself off even more. That asshole would never have a chance with me. "Don't pay any attention to Tyler. He just wants a reaction out of you," Levi continued calmly before distracting me, kissing my neck softly. I snapped out of my trans and smiled at him. "You know how much I hate your brother right?" Kylie's life is nearly flipped upside down when she's forced to move in with her best friend, Levi, after her own father claims to want no involvement with her. All is well initially, until another problem arises: Levi's older brother, Tyler. Returning home after three years, Tyler proves to be skilled in getting under everyone's skin, but what happens when he begins to find an interest in Kylie? Are his feelings genuine or is Kylie's heart merely a shiny trophy that the brothers will fight over?

NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON AMAZON AND BARNES&NOBLE! THIS IS A SAMPLE OF THE PUBLISHED BOOK. _____________________________ Livvie Jefferson is lame. If it weren't for the secret list of crazy things she'd like to do, she'd be less interesting than a piece of stale bread. Harvey Lockwell is a God. An unattainable God. Livvie's content with staring Harvey down from afar and wiping the drool from her chin, until everything changes when she's forced to have actual contact with him during their after-school tutoring seasons. In a cringe-worthy chain of events, Livvie's boring life turns into a catastrophic mess when Harvey ends up finding her secret list. Things take another turn for the worse when Livvie accidentally runs away from home while on a high-speed chase straddled to the back of Harvey's motorcycle. Not only does she have to endure the embarrassment from being caught with a bucket list at the ripe age of seventeen that includes losing her virginity, but she also has to figure out exactly what Harvey ended up doing that caused them to be chased out of town by a band of criminals and how to fix it. Crazy house parties, grungy motel rooms, unexpected make-out sessions, bad dancing, and a scandalous twist are just the beginning. For a girl who's never done anything remotely exciting, Livvie Jefferson is in for some pretty bad things.

#1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. One thing I'll always remember is my parents saying "Everyone has a story" "Everyone has a story with a past, tragic or not. Everyone has a story that is meant to go unjudged, even if it was never told" But sometimes we forget that. Like when I though that my guardian was the devil. Even though he taught me how to laugh, how to protect, and even possible how to love. I only asked one thing "Why?" I still remember the one phrase that changed my life"Let me carry her" This one single and normal phrase was said by none other than Cooper Kingsley, our school's and town's bad boy. He was the championship boxer who drove a motorcycle and got into trouble frequently. He's the guy with brown hair that looked soft enough to run my fingers through, the guy with irresistible cold blue eyes and the guy with a built and strong body that made girls crazy. He wasn't your typical player either; no he was just hard to get- A complete tease. And the fact that he would volunteer to help a girl like this, was not normal. So what did Cooper Kingsley want anything to do with the bland and boring me? I was completely and utterly average. Or so I thought. So why did the devil suddenly become my guardian? Let's find out. He's the badass with a scary past. He doesn't talk about it and probably never will. He's the most closed of person in the world. Let's all face on fact, Daryl Dixon doesn't give a shit about nothing and nobody. It's just him and his brother. That's all it's ever been. She use to be sweet. She use to be innocent. She use to give a shit. She use to be the perfect girl, any guy could fall for. She was an Olympic Gold Medalist. But even before the apocalypse her life was shit. Now she's cold, cruel, and blinded by rage. She prefers to be alone, run her own show. She can't trust anyone and probably never will be able to. She only looks after her brother. But that's just how Harley J's ever been. But what happens when these two cross each others? **Disclaimer Alert: I do not own any of the characters on the television show The Walking Dead, they belong to AMC and the original author. However, I do own Harley Kessler, Graham Kessler, Beau Taylor, Justin Carter, and Grayson Otega. ***
