When kids are young and full of innocent wonder, they're asked the question that will haunt them far into their adult lives: what do you want to be when you're older? Kyleigh Frost's answer to this very question was that she wanted to be thin. Ever since she could remember, all she wanted to do with her life is to be the skinniest girl out of everyone she met on the streets. If she couldn't be the brightest kid in her school or win the next cycle of America's Next Top Model, she might as well be the thinnest one there. After all, to be fat is the biggest sin one could ever commit in today's society.

This is based on a true story about a young girl battling an eating disorder. The book follows her journey as she gets worse and worse and the illness takes over her as a person. If you're reading this and have or do suffer from an eating disorder, I hope you recover and don't take a turn for the worst. I run to see a girl on the floor. Eyes closed, curly brown hair and clothes engulfed in the sand and not moving. Dead. I move on top of her not knowing what to do I start to panic. Dead. I breathe deeply to calm myself, as I move closer, her eyes pop open. Not...Dead? Her eyes stare at mine for what feels like the longest time, big and hazel, they seemed lost in my green ones befor- "Fuck," I groan as she hits her head with mine, looking terrified she slides away from me and takes off running. "HEY, COME BACK," I shouted after her, but it didn't seem to faze her. If it wasn't my imagination, she seemed to be sprinting faster, away from me, as she disappeared into the darkness. ****** Btw this book updates every Monday!
