I was glad when my voice was steady when I spoke, funny since I'd been a stumbling fool earlier. Miss Conner just watched me. I fought the urge to reach over and shake her. That impenetrable mask that she always wore was driving me crazy! "For what?" My brows furrowed and I stared at my English teacher in confusion.
