Everyone lives miserably in hopes that one day things will change. But unfortunately, nothing has changed in three centuries. There is one way to escape this dreaded life though. Few have done it and their families became rich and never had another worry ever again. You have to win The Running Games. It's simple. One individual has to survive one whole year while the government tries to stop them. You fill out a form when your eighteen if you choose to do it or not and if not enough people sign up, others are drafted into the games. You either win or lose. Rich beyond your imagination or death. No one knows what terrifying things happen during the games, except of coarse, the government. Probably laughing at how desperate we really are to help our families while they plot other evil things to happen in the games. One of a thousand people make it back. I had two older brothers who did, hoping to come back and change our lives forever, but neither of them returned home.
