Crossroads is about a seven year old boy who lives in the worst part of Little Rock, Arkansas, Granite Mountain. This boy's name is Aiden. As he struggles to get through Granite Mountain, he has to avoid gang activity, fights, and burglaries. Aiden isn't the type of African American that everyone thinks he is, he isn't interested into the bad things he's surrounded by. Aiden's American Dream is just to make it out the hood. Aiden has quite a few friends but his best friends are Zachary and Jamal. Then there is a Caucasian girl named Courtney, she is six years old that goes to the same elementary school as Aiden, Zachary, and Jamal. Courtney lives in a place where no crime is committed. She lives in Sherwood, Arkansas, Millers Crossing. Her family owns a horse stable that is just in their backyard, and she has a lake that her father bought in their name. They're last is Watson, just to inform you guys, and Aiden's last name is Johnson. Courtney also has a lot of friends but yet her two best friends are Amber and Sarah. Aiden will describe Zachary, Jamal, Sarah, And Amber as the story progresses. The story will start off with Aiden, Courtney, Zachary, Amber, Jamal, and Sarah in elementary school and each chapter will progress with their age.
